People of all
genders have a hard time figuring out what turns them on. Authenticity is hard—and sexual authenticity gets harder when you’re feeling low, or you really like someone and really want him or her to like you, or when you feel bombarded with messages about how you’ve got to “compete” in a harsh sexual “marketplace.” I believe that one of the best ways to authenticity is to seek understanding of the pressures on everyone, and to grasp that everyone’s got their own nightmare of the Sexy Dreamgirl Shell.

My apartment is
finally ready enough to fuck in. I could evaporate in here. I could set up a lab. The insides of my elbows are sticky, and the little bit of muscle at the base of my spine pools sweat. I don’t know what to say/document/publish about what’s happening. I don’t know and I can’t keep from crying this out.

Consquences of first comment
Wow. Ok. So I got my first comment ever earlier today from a photographer whose photograph I used for Atari Teenage Riot. Didn't think much of it. Just noticed that I have over 100+ hits today alone. Practically all for that post/photograph.
For the record, I typically use some random picture from the first few pages of google images to accompany an album post because pictures are fun. If you're the owner of a photograph and wants it removed, feel free to email me.
Edit: Oh! It's coming from the band's facebook! ^_^

How many of
us find our adult friendships and partnerships colored and even warped by the failings of our families? And how few of us actually talk to each other about it? When has someone said to you (or you to them), “You know, when I first met you, I didn’t want to talk to you because what if you wanted more from me than I was ready to give? And that’s was only because I watched one of my parents drain the other one dry and I never wanted to feel that way.”

Men who enjoy
dominating and humiliating women in a BDSM context, actually just enjoy dominating and humiliating their sex partner… and they happen to be heterosexual. There are men who enjoy dominating and humiliating other men exist as well, women who enjoy dominating and humiliating men exist, women who enjoy dominating and humiliating women exist. It’s not about subjugating women, or men or any one else, it’s about consensually pretending to subjugate your sex partner, because you both enjoy it, it’s the game you happen to like. It’s not about misogyny/misandry… it’s about what sex/gender turns you on.
